You Park Like an A-hole!

You Park Like an AssholeYou Park Like an AssholeOne of the bad things about living in a populated city is trying to find parking.  What is extremely frustrating is when you live on a small block like I do, with very limited parking when a single car will park right in the middle of an easily two car parking space.  Or even worse, when a person who has a garage parking spot, parks on the street, especially during street cleaning day when parking is even more ridiculously hard to find, wtf!

I also hate those assholes at the mall; let’s take Burbank Town Center for instance, near Ikea.  The parking spots in that parking garage are really meant for compact cars, not so much SUVs or Trucks, but of course there is no specified parking for those larger vehicles, so they will take up two spots just trying to park their gigantic vehicle in that ridiculously, stupidly small parking space.  If the city of Burbank really thinks they are making a ton of parking spaces in that garage, they are retarded!  What they are really doing is causing frustration among drivers when they see a car double parked.  I have seen a compact car try to fit in between two other compact cars in that parking garage, barely fitting in that tiny space (as a compact car), and then there is no room for them to get out of their vehicle.  Luckily most people in Los Angeles are tiny, so they can fit through six inches of an open door and slide right on through.

Another thing that frustrates the hell out of me is when I parallel park on my street, leaving enough space for me to maneuver my way out, but not too much to where I can be considerate of others, but then some asshole parks right on my ass, so that my “considerate” parking job means I can no longer maneuver my way out without playing bumper cars.  I guess that is what the asshole gets for parking so close to me?!

While I’m venting the other thing on my tiny street that annoys me is all the red curbs for emergency vehicle parking… Do they really need about half the street covered in those red curbs for emergency vehicles?  I think if there really was an emergency it would be okay for a big fire truck to take up the whole street, which it would do anyway, because our street is so small.  So why take away our parking spaces for that, when honestly it doesn’t really matter?

The good news is, I was venting to a friend the other day about how I HATE assholes that park without any consideration of others, and he told me about this website called – www.youparklikeanasshole.com.  You can print up “tickets” where you mark which offense the asshole with the horrible parking job committed.  You then place it on their windshield and hopefully they will never park like that again.  I just printed a few up myself and I plan on using them for the people who park like assholes!  At least if nothing else, that alone will make me feel a tiny bit better.
