Jenna Bush Hager has gotten herself a new part-time job and I am sure no nepotism or favoritism was involved. Just like any 27-year-old aspiring journalist, Jenna has been hired as a correspondent by the nbc.msn.com/">Today show. I guess this means I can now add the infamous Bush daughter to the list of young, beautiful Republicans. (It remains to be seen whether she can actually be a member of the infamous idiot list because she has yet to embarrass herself in any other way than drinking underage.)
Jenna will also be working as a reading coordinator at a school this year which will hopefully not compromise her reporting on education issues. Though her last name has changed, she is still a Bush at heart so I am dubious to say the least.
The way NBC tells the story her hiring had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that NBC has been attacked by the conservative media (and I use the term media very loosely here) for being too liberal. Instead, it was Jenna's "natural presence" Yeah, right.
Which parent do you think Jenna supposedly get her charm from? Was it her librarian mother or her linguistically-challenged father? Her two past appearances on the show were enough to give her the correspondent status and not to repeat myself, it had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that her father has the dubious distinction of being one of the worst presidents in the history of the US.
Or maybe it is the fact that Jenna has so much in common with many college students in the US- a lot of students attend state schools and get in trouble for drinking as the result of over-zealous cmapus police.
